Abstract

Keluasan lingkup penggunaan enzim telah mendorong pertumbuhan pasar dan produksi enzim. Salah satu jenis enzim hidrolase yang memiliki pangsa pasar cukup besar adalah selulase. Saat ini produksi enzim selulase dari ruminansia belum banyak dilirik. Namun demikian selulase yang berasal dari ruminansia, seperti cairan rumen sapi, sangat berpotensi untuk diproduksi mengingat ketersediaan sumber isolat yang besar. Potensi limbah cairan rumen sapi di Indonesia mencapai 54,25 juta liter/tahun pada tahun 2007. Isolat enzim dari rumen sapi disebutkan memiliki berbagai kelebihan dibandingkan enzim komersial, diantaranya, lebih stabil pada suhu tinggi, aktivitas spesifik lebih tinggi, pH optimum lebih tinggi dan biaya produksi yang lebih rendah. Proses pemurnian enzim merupakan tahapan krusial dalam proses produksi enzim. Salah satu teknik pemurnian protein adalah expanded bed adsorpsion (EBA). EBA adalah teknik kromatografi pemisahan dan pemurnian produk biologi langsung dari umpan, tanpa melalui proses sentrifugasi, mikrofiltrasi dan tahap penjernihan lainnya. Mengingat unggun pada kolom dapat terekspansi, maka luas permukaan kontak adsorben lebih besar sehingga interaksi adsorben dengan molekul target lebih efektif. Dalam proses pemurnian protein menggunakan EBA, perlu ditelaah karakteristik ekspansi dan hidrodinamikanya, seperti indeks Richardson-Zaki (n), bilangan Bodenstein (Bo) dan koefisien dispersi aksial (Daxl) yang mewakili kondisi dispersi cairan dan sifat fluidisasi. Abstract

This study aims to apply the GR4J model as rainfall-runoff modeling in Tajum watershed to get four free parameters obtained from daily rainfall data. In this study, input data is in the form of daily rainfall data and potential evapotranspiration data. The output of calculated discharged is calibrated using observations of daily discharge data. This modeling optimizes four free parameters of the Maximum Capacity of Production Store (X 1), Groundwater Coefficient (X 2), Maximum Capacity of Routing Store (X 3), and Peak Time of Ordinate Unit Hydrograph (X 4).  The optimum values of the modeling parameters of GR4J are obtained from the criterion of the smallest discrepancies between calculated and observed data, which are Nash-Sutcliffe Coefficient (NS), the correlation coefficient values and methods of Relative Volume Error (RVE). There are three stages in this modeling, namely: model calibration, model verification and model validation. Model calibration is carried out by using the first five years of data and verification of models uses the second five years of data. Comparisons of GR4J with other two rainfall-runoff models, Mock and SAC-SMA Models, were also carried. Results of this study indicate that GR4J model shows better performance than the Mock models and SAC-SMA models in terms of the criterion evaluated. Keywords: Tajum watershed, water availability, rainfall-runoff, GR4J models

Abstract

This study aims to create a tool, that is inverter which can be used to adjust the fan rotation speed. The research was carried out using variable astable multivibrator circuit as a switching circuit on the inverter.After testing, the magnitude of the fan rotation speed depending on the size of the resulting frequency of astable multivibrator. Key word:  inverter, astable multivibrator,  fan.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy is increasing, as more extensive network of electric power due to greater demand, as well as the distance between the centers of power to the load centers will lead to a reduction in power, because in the delivery of power from the generator to the consumer or customers there is a power loss and voltage drop. To overcome this, there is one solution that can be used to install the Distributed Generation (DG) on distribution networks. The focus of research is to see how the influence of DG before installation and after installation of DG on power distribution systems to improve voltage profile and power losses in distribution networks with variable injection and location. DG potential used is 3 pieces of micro power plants. Testing is done by simulation using ETAP Power Station 6.0 software. The simulation results show before the installation of DG voltage at the end of the network having a voltage drop of 7.06%, after the installation of DG with the injection of 85% of total capacity in section 8, the voltage drop to 1.12% successfully repaired.Key words: Distributed Generation, Voltage Profile

Abstract

Non-linear loads increasing on a power system results in harmonic distortion (THD) increasing. Harmonic distortion increasing getting bad influences on power system components. Measurement at one of PLNs customer installations with many non-linear loads shows the amount of voltage THD 9.41% and current THD 15.05%. To reduce the harmonic distortion we can use harmonic filters. The filter designed is a single-tunned passive filter. The design of harmonic filters adapted to the dominant order occured. Filters are not only used to reduce harmonic distortion occurred but also increase power factor. From the simulation results that by installing a single-tunned passive filters on the system, voltage THD has decreased from 9.41% to 6.61% while the current THD decreased from 15.05% to 10.40%. Meanwhile, system power factor increased from 0.971 to 0.992.Keywords: Total Harmonic Distortion, Passive Filter, Nonliear Load

Abstract

Sectoral antenna is a widely used antenna for wireless communications IEEE 802.11b/g  or Wi-Fi due to its large gain and ability to determine covered area.  In this research, a sectoral antenna 2.4GHz frequency with semicircular radiation for IEEE 802.11b/g applications was designed and built.  Design and simulation is done by 4NEC2 software.  In order to get a better performance, the  design was firstly optimized. Antenna parameters studied in this research are Gain, Radiation Pattern H-plane and E-plane, Directivity, Efficiency, and VSWR. Result shown that the simulated performance of sectoral antennaafter optimizationare 13.27 dBi Gain, 120 ° H-plane beamwidth,  10 ° E-plane beamwidth, 15.36 dB Directivity, 95.95% Efficiency, and 1.37 VSWR. While real performance testing of sectoral antenna in the field are 13 dBi Gain, 125 ° H-plane beamwidth, 15 ° E-plane beamwidth, 13.42 dB Directivity, 90.68% Efficiency, and 1.6 VSWR. There are some differences in performance between simulation and application in practice.  Among the causes are the accuracy of manufacturing, quality of materials used, environmental conditions of measurement process, measurement precision, and accuracy of the instrument used. Overall, a sectoral antenna has been created properly and can be used to accomodate 2.4 GHz frequency communication, namely IEEE 802.11b/g. Keywords: antenna, sectoral, semicircular, IEEE 802.11b/g.

Abstract

It has done the design of signal conditioning for remote sensing sensor to anticipate disturbance magnetic field null offset and inteference above 50Hz. Abstract

An increasing number of students affects accretion need for plots at the University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto parking. This can be seen in the presence of a complex problem, one of which is the problem of vehicle parking space requirements are needed by students and employees who have a vehicle, either car or motorcycle. For that to know how the actual needs of the existing parking area, how the circulation patterns and parking should be applied to each parking area. Parking space requirements based on the obtained data on the number of students per faculty, the data is analyzed based on the Technical Guidelines for Operation of Parking Facilities issued by the Department of Transportation, the Director of Transportation land. After that made parking and circulation patterns tailored to the plots at the university campus I Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Needs unit for motorcycle parking spaces is 761 SRP, and the need for car parking spaces is 25 SRP. Motorcycle parking pattern created the position of the vehicle is 900 because of the effectiveness of space. Patterns form a pattern of cars parked at an angle of 450 parking. because of the ease and comfort of the driver to maneuver in and out of parking space. Keywords: Needs Parking Space, Parking Space Unit
